Supplier Diversity

Supplier diversity enhances our corporate relationships and contributes to our ability to better understand and serve our broad spectrum of customers.

Supplier Diversity

The Cigna GroupSM believes the success of minority- and women-owned businesses and other under-represented suppliers adds to our success and to that of the communities we serve. By partnering with these suppliers, we can foster the growth of these businesses while ensuring the long-term growth of The Cigna Group. Our supplier diversity program is designed to engage suppliers who share our commitment to integrity, quality, and efficiency and continue to support our purchasing needs.

To be considered as a supplier, register through the Supplier Diversity Portal. For more information on the program, contact us.

At The Cigna Group, we have a longstanding and deep commitment to being a leader in making a positive impact on society.

In support of our mission to improve the health and vitality of those we serve, we rely on the power of diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is reflected in every area of our business, and firmly rooted in our company’s values. While our work is not done, we are proud of our progress, including our support for minority- and women-owned businesses. We continue expanding our annual diverse supplier spending, as well as partnering with diverse entrepreneurial businesses through our Cigna Supplier Mentor Protégé Program.

Our more than 70,000 co-workers around the world are united in embracing the opportunity we have to be a driving force for change, not just within our company or our industry, but across all the communities we’re privileged to serve.David Cordani Chairman and CEO, The Cigna Group

Mentor Protégé Program

The Cigna Group launched its Cigna Supplier Mentor Protégé Program (CSMPP) in 2016.

Certified diverse suppliers (protégés) are paired with executives at The Cigna Group to help develop strategies to strengthen and expand their businesses.

Throughout the 15 months, protégés have one-on-one monthly meetings with their dedicated mentor, and once each quarter, protégés attend onsite forums to learn about industry best practices from subject matter experts.

The Cigna Group is very proud of the program and is committed to the goal of helping protégé companies grow their businesses so they can continue to contribute to their local communities.
